PIRTEK USA opened 10 hydraulic hose service locations and awarded 11 new territories in the second quarter, extending a record 2026 pace.
The residential services platform folded a 47-year-old Denver HVAC and plumbing contractor into its Colorado operation, its third brand in the state.

Advantage Services Group has acquired Doctor Fix-It, a nearly 50-year-old Denver Metro provider of heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical services. The deal folds Doctor Fix-It into ASG's existing Elkhorn Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical brand, giving the platform its third home services company in Colorado.
ASG's approach mirrors what other private equity-backed platforms are doing across the country: buy an established local contractor with decades of brand equity, fold it into an existing regional operation, and keep the technicians and customer relationships intact. Doctor Fix-It's near-five-decade track record and A+ BBB rating made it a low-risk target for that kind of integration.
For ASG, the value is not just adding a name, it is adding density in a market it already serves. Combining Doctor Fix-It with Elkhorn creates shared dispatch, purchasing and training resources across a larger technician base in the same metro area, which is typically where roll-up platforms find their margin gains rather than in geographic expansion alone.
Doctor Fix-It's owners chose a sale over continuing independently despite a strong local reputation, a decision playing out across residential HVAC and plumbing nationwide as labor costs rise and succession options narrow for family-owned contractors. Multi-brand platforms are betting that trend continues, and each acquisition adds to the case that consolidation, not organic growth, is the fastest path to scale in home services.
