Cents, a software and payments platform built for laundromats and dry cleaners, has acquired Insight Systems, a business-intelligence and reporting platform built specifically for garment care operators. The deal folds Insight Systems' dashboarding tools directly into Cents, giving operators a single view of their business instead of stitching together data from separate point-of-sale systems.

Building on a Record Capital Raise

The acquisition follows Cents' $140 million Series C, closed in March 2026 and described as the largest single software investment in the laundry and garment care vertical to date. That capital is now funding both product integration and a dedicated push into dry cleaning, a segment Cents says has been underserved by modern software.

Why Data Matters for Multi-Site Operators

Insight Systems' technology pulls data from third-party point-of-sale systems into metrics built specifically for garment care, a category with no one-size-fits-all reporting standard. For operators running multiple laundromat or dry-cleaning locations, centralized visibility into performance across sites is infrastructure that franchise and multi-unit brands in other categories have had for years.

A Signal for an Underserved Sector

Laundromats and dry cleaners are frequently franchised or multi-unit operated, yet the category has lagged other service industries in adopting integrated software. Cents' acquisition, paired with its record raise, positions the company to set the technology standard for an industry that has largely run on legacy tools.
