A veteran multi-unit operator and Cohere Capital form Renew Fitness to build 70 new Club Pilates studios across three states.

Club Pilates has signed one of the largest multi-unit development agreements in its history. Entrepreneur Saber Ammori, who already owns and operates 14 studios in New York City, committed to building 70 more across Michigan, Maryland, and New York. He partnered with Cohere Capital to form a new operating company, Renew Fitness, that could eventually oversee 84 studios.
Ammori did not come to Pilates from the fitness world. He co-founded Wireless Vision, one of the largest T-Mobile retailers in the country with more than 450 stores, and holds interests in car washes and real estate. Operators with that kind of multi-unit background are betting that boutique fitness delivers predictable unit economics at scale, and they are willing to lock up whole regions to get there.
Renew Fitness secured the remaining available Club Pilates territories across all three target states. That is the pattern parent company Xponential Fitness has leaned into, awarding large blocks to sophisticated groups like Riser Fitness, which holds rights to 127 studios. Concentrating growth in fewer, better-capitalized hands lowers the franchisor's support cost per unit, but it also raises the stakes when a single mega-developer stumbles.
Club Pilates now runs more than 1,300 studios globally, yet Ammori and the brand both point to open territory as the reason to keep building. For prospective single-unit franchisees, the read is more sobering. When area developers claim entire states, the path to ownership increasingly runs through joining a group rather than staking an independent claim.
