Guild Garage Group's acquisition of Prutch's marks its eighth deal this year, signaling steady consolidation in the fragmented garage door repair industry.

Guild Garage Group has added Prutch's Garage Door, a five-location Colorado operator, marking the roll-up's 32nd partnership since it launched in 2024 and its eighth of 2026. The deal extends Guild's reach across the Western Slope, mountain resort towns and the Front Range, territory Prutch's has served since 1989.
Guild has averaged roughly one new partnership every six weeks since its founding two years ago, a pace that points to real appetite for consolidation in garage door repair, a category long dominated by independent, family-run shops. The model lets owners like Prutch's founder Garrett Stevens keep operational control while tapping Guild's shared playbook for pricing, technician training and vendor relationships.
Guild structures its deals around unit level ownership, meaning sellers retain equity and keep collecting annual distributions rather than cashing out entirely. Stevens will stay on to run day to day operations, but now has access to Guild's national network of operators and its resources for recruiting and retaining technicians, a persistent bottleneck in home services.
Garage door repair joins a growing list of trade categories, including HVAC, plumbing and pest control, being rolled up by private capital seeking recurring, recession-resistant revenue. For franchise and home service operators watching the M&A market, Guild's cadence is a signal that acquirers are still paying up for regional leaders with strong reputations, even as broader deal volume cools in other sectors.
