LB Capital launched EM Exteriors on September 1, a roofing platform that combines 15 companies across 13 states into a single operation with more than $150 million in revenue under management and zero debt. The platform is built and run by operators who have scaled and exited home services businesses themselves, led by LB Capital founder Lance Bachmann.

Keep the Name, Add the Infrastructure

Unlike a traditional roll-up that folds acquired companies into one brand, EM Exteriors lets partner roofing companies keep their name, team and leadership while the platform installs the systems many growing roofers lack: documented processes, financial visibility, technology and automation. Member companies are already showing the effect. Planet Roof grew from $3.4 million in revenue in 2024 to a pace of $22.8 million this year, and Roofing Pups grew from $3.7 million to a projected $18.1 million over the same span.

One Exit Instead of Many

The bigger strategic bet is on the exit, not just the growth. Rather than each roofing company selling individually, EM Exteriors is designed to build enterprise value across all 15 companies together and sell the combined platform as one larger outcome, giving partners more leverage with vendors and a bigger prize to split when a buyer eventually shows up.

What It Signals for Roofing Owners

Roofing remains the least consolidated of the major home services trades, with far more independent operators than HVAC or plumbing, which is exactly why platforms keep launching in the category. For roofing company owners weighing a sale, EM Exteriors adds another option beyond a single-buyer exit or a traditional PE add-on: joining a platform built by people who have already run this playbook and cashed out from it.
