Lessen, the property services platform that manages work orders for residential and commercial portfolios, has added Paul Davis Restoration to its national vendor network. Nearly 20 Paul Davis franchises have already onboarded, with plans to bring on more than 60 additional locations this summer.

Why the deal matters for franchisees

Restoration franchisees typically win work through insurance referrals and local relationships, a cycle that makes revenue lumpy. Lessen's platform routes commercial jobs directly to onboarded franchises and pays on a transparent fee structure, giving owners a second, steadier revenue channel alongside their existing referral business.

A test case in a Black Friday-week response

The companies pointed to a recent project where a Paul Davis team completed a water and microbial restoration for a national retail client, finishing half a day ahead of schedule and keeping the store open throughout. That turnaround is the pitch Lessen is making to other multi-location commercial clients weighing which restoration provider to keep on call.

What it signals for the category

Property services aggregators like Lessen sit between large commercial clients and the fragmented, mostly franchised trades that do the actual work. As more of them build vetted vendor networks, franchise owners get a new sales channel that doesn't require them to staff a commercial sales team, though it also means ceding some control over pricing and job routing to the platform.
