The private equity firm's first Australian investment values the Planet Fitness franchisee at roughly $170 million and funds an aggressive club rollout.
The dog wellness franchise hired a chief commercial officer, chief development officer and chief financial officer as it scales its membership model nationally.

Scenthound has added three C-suite executives, naming Summer Nunn as chief commercial officer, Michael Chin as chief development officer and Jake Singleton as chief financial officer. The moves follow the brand's inclusion on Entrepreneur's inaugural Best of the Best list for pet industry franchises and come as Scenthound scales its membership-based dog wellness model into new markets.
Chin previously led growth at GoDog and held development roles at Level 5 Capital Partners and CorePower Yoga, giving Scenthound a development chief fluent in private equity-backed expansion. Singleton spent more than 20 years in finance, most recently as CFO at The Joint Chiropractic, where he helped scale that brand from 262 to 967 locations and led its M&A and treasury work. Nunn brings marketing leadership from Driven Brands and Magnolia Wash Holdings, rounding out a team built around multi-unit consumer brands.
Stacking a commercial, development and finance chief in the same announcement points to a franchisor preparing for a faster growth phase rather than steady-state operations. Scenthound recently formed a new board bringing in franchising, pet care and private equity leaders, and has been actively securing multi-unit deals, including six locations in Georgia and South Carolina with former McDonald's operators.
Leadership hires with heavy PE and M&A backgrounds, like Singleton's, often precede either accelerated unit growth or a future capital event. Prospective and existing franchisees should watch how the new development and finance leadership shapes site selection standards and territory pricing over the next several quarters.
