Serruya Private Equity, the investment arm of the family behind Yogen Früz and Pinkberry, bought two young Toronto franchisors in October, Franchise Times reported Nov. 6. Egg Club, a breakfast sandwich brand, has 10 locations, three of them corporate, with eight more in the works; its owners stay involved, per the companies' announcement. Honestly Good Chicken Fingers has four restaurants and three more planned in Ontario. Both are selling franchises in the U.S.

The deals follow Serruya's summer agreement with Minor Food to buy Bonchon, and land as fellow Canadian consolidator Foodtastic takes its MTY bid to shareholders.
