The Southern California dental support organization's fourth acquisition of 2026 adds a four-doctor general practice in the Los Angeles market.

Silver Creek Dental Partners, a boutique dental support organization founded in 2020, has acquired The Smile Artists, a general dentistry practice in Culver City, California. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The practice's four doctors, Patricia Huh, David Channok Ahn, Matthew Shanley and Priyanka Assudan, will continue treating patients under the existing name.
This is Silver Creek's fourth practice acquisition in 2026, part of a steady cadence of tuck-in deals across California rather than one large platform purchase. That pace mirrors how most dental support organizations grow: buy an established, well-run practice, keep the clinical team and brand in place, and take over the business side.
Silver Creek handles the back office work, billing, scheduling, HR and vendor contracts, while the doctors keep clinical control of patient care. For a small independent practice, that trade gives owners negotiating leverage on supplies and insurance contracts they could not get alone, at the cost of some autonomy over daily business decisions.
Southern California has become one of the most active markets for dental consolidation, with national platforms and boutique regional players like Silver Creek competing for the same pool of independent practices. For franchise-adjacent operators watching the DSO model, the pattern looks familiar: fragmented, owner-operated locations rolling up under a support organization that centralizes everything except the clinical relationship with patients.
