Skiptown, the Charlotte-based dog daycare and boarding franchise, closed its strongest quarter yet in the second quarter of 2026. The brand signed its first Colorado multi-unit agreement, a five-location deal in the Denver metro area, while systemwide revenue grew 23% year over year.

A Member-First Growth Engine

The company's active membership base topped 8,000, fueled by a redesigned VIP plan that bundles daycare, boarding, grooming and social perks into one subscription. Membership conversions in its entry-level Clean Pup Plan jumped 110% after a visibility overhaul across Skiptown's locations, a sign that recurring revenue is now driving the business more than one-off visits.

Why Operators Are Buying In

The new Colorado franchisee is a former Skiptown member who converted brand loyalty into a five-unit development commitment, a pattern the company is leaning into as it recruits owners who already understand the customer experience. For multi-unit operators evaluating pet care, that kind of demand-side validation lowers the risk profile compared with unproven concepts.

Technology as the Differentiator

Skiptown is also expanding SkipOS, its proprietary operating platform, adding capacity dashboards for grooming and bathing that give franchisees real-time forecasting for staffing and appointment availability. An AI-powered chatbot built with SOCi is already cutting response times for customer questions, part of a broader bet that operational technology will separate winners in the increasingly crowded pet care category.
