Uni K Wax has named Jarred Fajerski as chief executive officer as the natural body-waxing franchise pushes toward a 71-location footprint, with roughly 40 studios open and 31 more in development across nine markets. Fajerski most recently ran Stratus Clean Services Group, where he oversaw more than 1,000 units and 56 million dollars in sales, leading the brand to a number 21 national ranking.

A Track Record Built on Scaling Personal-Care Brands

Before Stratus, Fajerski served as Chief of Stores at Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spas, where he helped grow the brand from 140 locations to more than 500 through two private equity transactions. Board members said that track record, moving specialty personal-care concepts from regional footprints to national scale, is exactly what Uni K Wax needs at this stage of its growth. Two of the brand's board members, representing its private equity backers, publicly endorsed the hire as a signal of the next growth phase.

Growth Now Depends on Infrastructure, Not Just Signings

Moving from roughly 40 open studios to a 71-location system requires more than signing new franchise agreements. It demands stronger training, marketing, and site-performance infrastructure to keep service quality consistent as the brand adds markets, which is the operational discipline Fajerski is being brought in to build. Franchisee profitability, not just unit count, is the metric board members say they expect him to protect as the system scales.

A Second Growth Lever in Independent Conversions

Uni K Wax is also building a pipeline of independent waxing studios that could convert into the franchise system, giving it a second growth channel beyond traditional franchise development. For franchisors in fragmented personal-care categories, pairing a proven scaling executive with a conversion pipeline signals a strategy aimed at consolidating independent operators rather than only recruiting first-time franchisees. That two-track approach, franchise sales plus conversions, mirrors what Fajerski used to scale Hand & Stone years earlier.
