Falfurrias Capital Partners took a growth stake in Youth Athletes United, funneling new capital into franchisee support rather than new brand launches.

Youth Athletes United, the franchisor behind Soccer Stars, Amazing Athletes and TGA, has taken a growth investment from Falfurrias Capital Partners, with Boxwood Partners advising on the deal. Terms were not disclosed, but the company says the capital is earmarked for franchisee-facing infrastructure rather than new brand launches or company-owned stores.
YAU says the investment strengthens tools, training, marketing and operational support for its network of franchise owners, not the brands themselves. That distinction matters in franchised youth sports, where unit economics sit with the local operator running practices and camps, so franchisor capital tends to show up as systems, curriculum and lead generation instead of new facilities.
Founded in 2018 around brands that each carry more than two decades of individual operating history, YAU now runs more than 400 franchise territories through schools, early childhood centers, parks and community organizations. Investors have been drawn to youth enrichment because participation trends stay strong through economic cycles and the market remains fragmented enough that a scaled, multi-brand platform can consolidate share without buying up competitors outright.
Co-founders Adam Geisler and John Erlandson stay on as CEO and president with the founding team in place, which limits near-term disruption to how territories are run. The real test is whether the new resources raise revenue per territory for current owners or simply fund faster recruitment of new ones, because those two outcomes point to very different valuations the next time YAU changes hands.
