FG Brands pairs Bare&Sol and facial collective under one Birmingham roof, then opens the shared-lease format to franchisees nationwide.

FG Brands has opened what it calls the beauty franchise industry's first dual-concept studio, combining its Bare&Sol and facial collective brands inside one Birmingham, Alabama location. The Cahaba Village Plaza studio has served that community since 2013 and was remodeled this year to house both brands under a single lease and staff. It now counts more than 1,000 members across the two brands, with a meaningful share holding memberships in both.
The pitch to franchisees is straightforward: facial collective handles facial care and aesthetics, Bare&Sol handles hair removal and airbrush tanning, and neither brand dilutes its specialty by absorbing the other's services. Sharing one lease and one team lowers the fixed cost of running two membership businesses instead of one, while the combined foot traffic gives each brand a built-in cross-sell audience.
Co-locating two focused, membership-based concepts is a different growth lever than the usual playbook of opening more single-brand units or bolting extra services onto an existing store. FG Brands is now offering the Birmingham format to franchisees nationwide, turning one successful pilot into a second product it can sell alongside its standalone Bare&Sol and facial collective territories.
For operators already juggling several service brands, the dual-concept format offers a way to consolidate real estate and staffing costs without stretching either brand's identity thin. Whether other franchisors copy the approach will depend on how well Birmingham's membership numbers hold up once the novelty wears off.
