The HVAC franchise enters Kentucky and grows in Texas, betting that recession-resistant home services keep drawing experienced operators into multi-territory deals.

Heating + Air Paramedics has awarded five new territories across two states, opening its first Kentucky market in Louisville and growing its Texas footprint. The brand began franchising in 2021 and now leans on steady, year-round HVAC demand to bring in operators. The Louisville deal alone covers three territories.
In Louisville, Shaun Seagraves took the three territories, pairing his general-contracting background with an operating partner who brings nearly 30 years of HVAC experience. In Texas, Kimani Smith moved from a law enforcement career into ownership across McKinney and Little Elm. Both deals fit a pattern, with the brand favoring operators who carry trade or business experience over first-time buyers.
Heating and cooling is need-based demand. Homeowners replace systems, book emergency repairs, and schedule maintenance no matter the economic cycle. That predictability is the core pitch, and it explains why multi-territory awards are becoming the brand's growth engine instead of single-store openings.
Handing three territories to one owner concentrates both risk and reward in experienced hands. For the franchisor, that lowers support cost per territory and improves the odds each market gets fully built. For prospective owners, it sets a clear bar, because capital and operating experience increasingly decide who lands the larger deals.
