The pediatric dental partnership organization secured fresh term debt to fund acquisitions across its 75-office, 14-state network.

Lone Peak Dental Group closed a $170 million recapitalization led by TCW Steel City, giving the pediatric dental partnership organization fresh term debt, a revolver, and delayed draw capacity to fund future acquisitions. The Englewood, Colorado-based company operates more than 75 offices across 14 states and has grown from three locations since its 2003 founding.
The deal lands the same week Quad-C-backed Specialized Dental Partners closed its fifth acquisition of 2026, part of a wave that has already produced 117 dental specialty deals industrywide this year. For franchise and multi-site operators in healthcare services, the message is consistent: private credit is still funding aggressive roll-up strategies even as rates stay elevated.
A recapitalization, unlike a straight sale, lets Lone Peak keep its existing leadership and mission intact while unlocking growth capital, a structure increasingly common among healthcare service organizations that want scale without giving up operational control. CEO Ray Caruso said the financing lets the company keep expanding access to pediatric dental care in underserved markets.
Lenders are still willing to write nine-figure checks for healthcare platforms with a clear de novo and affiliation strategy, provided the underlying unit economics hold up. Operators in adjacent specialty healthcare categories, from vision to veterinary, should expect similar financing structures to keep showing up as private credit funds compete for platform deals.
