Athletech NewsShoot 360 Raises $7M for Sports-Tech Expansion
COPA Innovation Laboratories is backing Shoot 360's tech-driven basketball training franchise with $7 million as the brand pushes past 65 locations.
The home-services franchise giant hired a 25-year finance veteran from private equity-backed and public companies to lead its next growth phase.

Neighborly, the parent company behind home-service franchise brands like Mr. Rooter, Molly Maid, and Aire Serv, has named Brent Korb chief financial officer, effective September 8. Korb reports to CEO Mike Davis and will lead finance, accounting, and Neighborly's ProTradeNet purchasing program from the company's Irving, Texas headquarters.
Korb spent 16 years at Quanex Building Products, including 11 as CFO of the NYSE-listed manufacturer, before moving to private equity-backed American Bath Group as EVP and CFO. That mix of public-company discipline and PE-backed operating experience matters for Neighborly, which has grown through acquisition and franchise development under its own private equity ownership.
Neighborly has framed Korb's mandate around helping franchise owners run stronger businesses through greater purchasing power and operational efficiencies, not just corporate finance. For franchisees across Neighborly's home-services brands, that signals more attention on programs like ProTradeNet, the group's shared vendor purchasing arm, as a lever for margin rather than a back-office function.
Executive hires at multi-brand franchisors are a useful read on strategy, and finance leaders with heavy M&A and PE backgrounds usually arrive ahead of acquisition activity or a push to tighten franchisee economics. Korb's appointment fits both patterns for a home-services group that has kept adding brands and territory.
