The Maryland orthopedic wellness brand is recruiting multi-unit operators to a dual-FDD model that separates owning the clinic from practicing in it.

Structural Elements wants multi-unit operators with no clinical background, and it built two franchise disclosure documents to make that work. Clinic owners run the 5,000 to 7,000 square foot space, the front desk, billing and marketing. Licensed providers, from physical therapists to acupuncturists, buy three-year micro-franchises and pay monthly space fees to practice inside, a setup the company compares to salon suites.

The Hagerstown, Md., brand announced the push Oct. 15. It has franchised since 2016 and counts 11 micro-franchise practice owners in Maryland and Wisconsin. The fee is $65,000, or $52,000 per additional clinic, on a $703,000 to $1.4 million total investment. The target is 125 clinics in five years, and as Franchise Herald noted, each registration state means clearing two offerings, not one.
