The Joint Chiropractic opened a clinic in Warwick, Rhode Island, its first location in the state and the 44th state in its network. The opening pushes the brand past 950 clinics nationwide and marks another step in a deliberate Northeast expansion.

The model behind the growth

The Joint skips insurance entirely and runs on membership and cash payments, with no appointments required. That structure removes billing overhead and the delays that slow traditional chiropractic offices. For franchisees, it means predictable recurring revenue from members and a simpler operation than an insurance-based practice.

Why the Northeast, and why now

The brand built its density in the Sunbelt and West first, so the Northeast is open territory. Warwick's owners, a military couple, already run a clinic in nearby Groton, Connecticut, which shows the multi-unit path The Joint wants. Existing operators expanding into next-door states cost less to support than recruiting first-time owners in every market.

What the milestone signals

Reaching 44 states is less about one clinic than about a repeatable format that travels. A no-appointment, cash-pay clinic needs less local customization than most healthcare businesses, which is why The Joint can enter a new state with a single membership-driven location. The remaining six states are now the obvious next targets.
