BODYBAR Pilates signed 40 new territories and added 17 franchise owners in the first half of 2026, pushing its footprint to 204 territories across 25 states. The Fort Worth-based brand now operates 89 open studios with 70 more in development, and reported $26 million in systemwide sales for the period, up 36% year over year.

Why the Territory Math Matters

A brand with 204 signed territories against 89 open studios is carrying a large backlog of committed but unbuilt units. That gap is normal for a young concept still filling out its map, but it puts pressure on BODYBAR's development team to keep construction and site selection moving fast enough that signed deals convert into open, revenue-generating studios before franchisee patience runs out.

A Category Getting More Crowded

Boutique Pilates has drawn several fast-growing brands chasing the same real estate and the same pool of first-time studio owners, from Club Pilates to PVOLVE. BODYBAR's answer has been density: stacking multi-unit deals in states it already operates in, including California, Florida and Texas, rather than chasing every new market at once. That approach lowers support costs per territory even as the map keeps expanding.

What Comes Next

BODYBAR is targeting 28 states by year-end, with more than 30 additional locations already in the pipeline for the second half of 2026. Its 100th studio opening this fall in North Fort Worth, the market where BODYBAR began, will be the clearest read yet on whether its buildout pace can keep up with its deal pace.
