Crunch Fitness hit 600 locations with a Phoenix club that marks a bigger number for one franchisee. Crunch Arcadia, a $5 million, 36,500-square-foot gym that soft-opened Oct. 31, is the 100th club for CR Fitness Holdings, the companies said Oct. 29. The group, which opened its first Crunch in Sarasota in 2012, runs clubs in six states through three subsidiaries. Its Southwest Fitness Holdings unit plans 20 Phoenix clubs by the end of 2027, and the group expects 110 clubs by the end of this year. Memberships start at $9.99 a month.
Crunch says it has increased annual openings by almost 200% in four years, part of a broader fitness build-out led by large operators, from Purpose Brands' plan for 2,500 more gyms to multi-unit groups like this one.
