Nevada has drawn retirees for decades, yet senior placement advisers had no legal path to work there. CarePatrol said Oct. 28 that placement services are now permitted in the state for the first time, and its first Nevada franchise, CarePatrol of Clark County East in Henderson, is open under owner Michelle Kiel.

A representative of Gov. Joe Lombardo's office presented Kiel with a certificate of recognition at CarePatrol's annual conference in Las Vegas on Oct. 1. "Having already helped a local family through this process reinforces why I became a CarePatrol franchisee in the first place," Kiel said in the company's announcement.

Franchise Herald reported that Nevada moved oversight of senior living referral agencies to a registration system under a 2025 law, with rules taking full effect this year. For franchisors in in-home and senior care, it is a reminder that some growth markets open by statute, not by marketing.
