The 750-unit salon studio franchise brings in a multi-unit systems veteran to push occupancy and franchisee support as it accelerates growth.

Sola Salons named Elliot Baldini its new Chief Operating Officer, handing him operational oversight of a network spanning more than 750 locations and 21,000 independent beauty and wellness professionals across North America.
The appointment lands during Sola's 22nd year, coming off a stretch that included crossing 750 locations and opening its largest facility yet, a suite with more than 100 studios. Baldini's background is in scaling multi-unit franchise systems across education, health and wellness, sectors that share Sola's dependency on consistent local operator support rather than centralized service delivery.
Sola's leadership framed Baldini's mandate around three priorities: raising occupancy across existing studios, strengthening support for franchise partners, and refining the operational systems behind the brand's growth. Occupancy is the number that determines whether a salon-suite model actually pays off for franchisees, since Sola's revenue depends on keeping individual booths and studios rented to working beauty professionals rather than on a single per-location sales figure.
Salon suite franchising has become one of the more durable niches in beauty and personal care because it shifts client acquisition and service delivery onto independent professionals while the franchisor manages real estate, systems and support. Bringing in an operator with cross-sector franchise experience, rather than a beauty-industry insider, suggests Sola is treating its next growth phase as an operations problem as much as a brand one.
