The commercial cleaning franchisor drops Building Solutions for a service-first name as it pushes past 96 master territories and eyes AI.
Stratus Clean added five master franchise territories and topped 5,200 unit franchisees in its first half under a new brand name.

Stratus Clean, the commercial cleaning franchise formerly known as Stratus Building Solutions, added five new master franchise territories in the first half of 2026 and grew its unit franchisee base past 5,200, its first six months under the new name. The brand posted double-digit sales growth and now operates 96 master territories across the United States and Canada.
Stratus swapped its name and logo in April, a move that carries real risk for a franchise system built on local recognition and referrals. Six months later, the company says the rebrand has been well received by franchisees and master territory partners, and new master territories in Tyler, Harrisburg, Rochester, Lansing and Mobile suggest the transition did not slow recruitment.
Commercial cleaning franchises typically sell through master territory partners who resell smaller unit franchises within their region, which is how Stratus scaled to more than 5,200 unit franchisees on a sub-$50,000 investment. That structure puts recruitment pressure on the master territory partner rather than the franchisor, and Stratus's five new signings in one half suggest that layer is still attracting operators despite a crowded cleaning category.
Stratus says it will prioritize franchisee alignment and regular scorecard reviews over aggressive new-market entry for the rest of 2026. For franchisors watching the cleaning category, the brand's fourth consecutive year atop the fastest-growing franchise ranking argues that low investment minimums and a master-territory sales structure can still outpace larger, better-capitalized competitors.
