FranchiseWireSparkle Grooming Signs 29-Unit South Florida Deal
A membership-based dog grooming brand hands three South Florida counties to two operators with multi-unit chiropractic and grooming pedigrees.
Former European Wax Center operators are bringing Sparkle Grooming's membership-based dog wellness model to New Jersey, with 26 salons planned statewide.

Sparkle Grooming Co. will open its first New Jersey salon in Montclair on July 27, marking the wellness-focused dog grooming franchise's entry into the state. The opening is the first step in a 26-salon regional development agreement led by operators with a track record running 12 European Wax Center locations in Manhattan.
Co-owner Karim Bousleiman built his reputation scaling a membership-based beauty franchise before betting on Sparkle's Quick-Service Pet Care model. That crossover matters: multi-unit operators who succeeded in recurring-revenue beauty concepts are increasingly applying the same playbook to pet care, a category still dominated by independent groomers.
Sparkle's pitch to franchisees rests on recurring revenue rather than one-off appointments, with online booking and routine wellness memberships designed to reduce the wait times and inconsistency common at traditional grooming salons. The brand has now surpassed 600 licenses awarded nationwide since launching franchising in 2024.
New Jersey adds to a rapid multi-state build-out that already includes deals in Ohio, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee. As Sparkle scales past 600 awarded licenses, the brand is testing whether a quick-service, membership-driven model can do to pet grooming what quick-service beauty concepts did to waxing and salon visits.
